Following are public documents of interest relating to Zespri Producer votes held.

2024:  Producer Vote

Zespri has announced that it will undertake a producer vote on the extension of 12-month supply activities.

2022:  Expansion of ZGS Activities

The proposed activity was for the expansion of the ZGS activities, of growing, procuring and selling kiwifruit grown in overseas countries (excluding China and Chile), approved by a Producer vote held in 2019.


2021:  China Gold3 Commercial Trial

The proposed activity for the producer vote was for Zespri to conduct an on-orchard monitoring, procurement and sales and marketing trial for over one season, involving the sale of up to 200,000 trays of Chinese-grown G3 kiwifruit which met the Zespri Class 1 standards and the ability to use the Zespri label on the kiwifruit for the sales trial.


2019: Producer Vote

Resolution 1:  ZGS 12-month supply Activities

The proposed activity was for the growing, procuring and selling kiwifruit grown in overseas countries (excluding China and Chile) including, use in overseas countries of plant varieties of kiwifruit owned by Zespri, managing growing practices by overseas growers, managing the supply chain from overseas grower to market, marketing and market development for fruit grown overseas.


Resolution 2:  Ownership of plant varieties activities

The proposed activity was for plant variety ownership by Zespri including operating and owning (and otherwise having an interest in) plant varieties.
